About Wayne Photography has been one of the constants in my life. I knew exactly what I wanted to do career wise from age 6 and up. I was going to be a geologist! I worked towards a major in geology and spent time in the Saskatchewan North prospecting. In my second career I drew custom house designs and then moved on to designing/drawing architectural and structural precast for major projects from high-rises to bridges. I entered into adult education in 1983 and have been involved at various levels from Curriculum Developer to Instructor to Program Coordinator and Acting Dean. I am currently Program Head for the Wascana Campus, SIAST Applied Arts Programs in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. I went through the portfolio submission process with the Saskatchewan Professional Photographers Association (SPPA) and the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC), and have been an active member since 1997. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Vocational Technical Education and Graduate Classes from the University of Regina, and a Certificate in Photography from the New York Institute of Photography. Not quite a straight line of career advancement into professional photography but it has all been interesting and throughout everything I have always made sure that photography has been an integral part. Wayne has served on the executive of the Professional Photographers of Canada, Saskatchewan chapter and will return to the executive in 2009 as Vice-President. |
